Our Brand Refresh: An Interview with Niall Newman, Managing Director, KSN
KSN Construction Consultants are delighted to announce their brand update as part of their business objectives for 2021. We caught up with Niall Newman, Managing Director, of KSN Construction Consultants to tell us a bit more about the process of their refreshed brand identity as part of a wider business strategy.
Founded in 1989, KSN is an Irish-owned full-spectrum consultancy practice that provides quantity surveying, cost management, and sustainability advice. Clients can benefit from KSN’s wide range of pragmatic, expert-led, cost control services, which are based on rapid response times and proactive cost management techniques. It is our proven ability to anticipate, negotiate, and successfully resolve problems that has earned us a positive track record of completing commissions on time and within budget.
Why did you decide to undergo a brand refresh?
As part of our commitment to continuous innovation at KSN, we felt it was important to refresh the brands in KSN with new looks that reflected a cohesive family feel. As a company, we strive to continue progressing and adapting, and this was an ideal opportunity to do so in conjunction with some other company developments that have aligned well with the timing of the brand refresh.
What has the brand refresh involved?
It has been a lengthy process spanning approximately six months since the process began, including a new website, new logos, office branding, marketing collateral, clothing branding and much more. It required significant commitment and collaboration on the part of certain individuals, as well as external assistance from Little Lambe Consultancy to bring this process to a successful conclusion and share our new look with the world!
The three KSN divisions appear now to share a common logo, can you tell us a bit about this?
We believe it is critical for the three KSN company’s to be completely aligned in terms of brand and perception both internally and externally for clients, design teams, and colleagues alike. This is especially true when forging new relationships. We wanted to share a logo that represented the company’s three divisions, KSN, KSNPM, and KSN Energy, in order to demonstrate to clients that we can provide a comprehensive package of expertise for their project.
Can you explain the meaning behind your tagline “Excellence Built on Trust”?
Our tagline, ‘Excellence Built on Trust’, embodies the dependability and reliability for which KSN is renowned after more than three decades in the industry.
‘Excellence Built on Trust’ was founded on a thorough and timely response to issues that arose in order to contain, protect, and manage costs on behalf of our valued clients, a standard we have maintained and excelled at even today thanks to our team of expert professionals.
KSN moved offices recently. Can you tell us why?
As our teams continued to grow, we recognized the need for a space that could accommodate KSN, KSNPM, and KSN Energy while also allowing for separate workspaces. Additionally, we required a new space that reflected the business’s spirit of innovation, creativity, and positivity.
It was a significant investment and challenge, which we are pleased to report has been a huge success. Our new 1,400 sq/m open plan office will encourage collaboration within our teams and ultimately inspire new ways of thinking around quantity surveying and cost consultancy.
What’s next for KSN in 2021 and beyond?
There is much on the horizon, additional project opportunities in the residential sector are anticipated, in addition to our core ongoing work in the fields of sustainability, carbon emission management, and the energy sector in general.
We will maintain our membership of the RLB Euro Alliance, which has been a beneficial relationship for us over the years and ultimately we look forward to fostering new relationships with clients in new sectors while continuing to strengthen our existing ones.
