Philip Fitzpatrick, Stephen McGoldrick, and Vincent Byrne of KSN Construction Consultants were recently awarded their APC Diploma at the SCSI APC Graduation Ceremony.
The APC Process
At KSN, attaining APC status is highly recommended, and a dedicated mentorship programme is in place to facilitate the process. Each individual is assigned a direct mentor to serve as their APC supervisor, as well as an internal APC Counsellor as part of their professional development in KSN.

Commenting on the process Philip Fitzpatrick, added “The support I received from KSN during my APC exceeded my expectations. All staff members in the most senior positions were eager to assist me at every turn, meeting with me on their own time in the early mornings and late evenings. They simplified a journey that can initially appear quite daunting”.

Stephen McGoldrick added, “My supervisor and counsellor were always accessible to provide invaluable guidance and insight. Senior staff members were available from the wee hours of the morning until late at night for mock interviews and professional development advice”.

The ongoing process of career development is strongly promoted within KSN. Drawing on their own experience, managers work closely with teams to identify and harness the skills, awareness and performance needed to achieve ongoing professional goals.
Vincent Byrne added, “I received structured APC training and development from in-house supervisors and counsellors within KSN.”I was guided throughout the process and assisted in the creation of a personal and professional development plan. This, coupled with gaining experience on multiple projects, allowed me to meet the APC’s competency requirements and become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor”.
Director of KSN and mentor on the APC Programme in KSN, Darren Flanagan, concluded, “Although the path to APC success is arduous, the KSN team has supported Philip, Stephen, and Vincent every step of the way. We are extremely proud of the three associates and ecstatic to have strengthened our commitment to our employees in standing as a dedicated provider of continuing education to our employees”.
KSN would like to extend our congratulations to the Chartered Surveyors, Philip Fitzpatrick, Stephen McGoldrick, and Vincent Byrne.
