Who do we hire?
Ideal candidates will have at least a 2.1 or equivalent from a construction/surveying background, however we welcome applications from other disciplines.

We encourage all our graduates to commence their journey to achieve Chartered Surveyor status (Assessment of Professional Competence) and actively support this process with full team backing, one-to-one advice and individual mentoring. Programme Focus
- KSN’s Graduate Programme typically runs for a duration of 12/14 months.
- The initial Graduate focus will be measurement and getting to grips with the basics of this.
- Graduates are assigned work producing bills of quantities and cost plans. Through this experience they will soon understand what should be measured and why it is important.
- With time, there will also be exposure to some site situations.
- Exposure to client and design team meetings as a member of the KSN team.
- On completion of the graduate programme you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to commence you career as a Junior Quantity Surveyor.
- Your focus on completion will shift to securing your APC and building on your new experience.

Olwyn works in direct partnership with senior management in the support of our staff and the development of strategic HR solutions. She is involved in the full life-cycle of our Graduate Programme, to ensure all Graduates enjoy and benefit from the programme in place. Olwyn is also there from a wellbeing perspective to welcome and support our graduates as they settle into their new KSN careers.

Tom Smyth, Associate Director
Based in our Cavan office, Tom has a broad range of experience from major commercial projects to healthcare, retail, residential projects, hotels and a range of public works projects. Additionally, Tom provides cost management expertise on various conservation projects where complex restoration and refurbishment works are involved. Tom supports the APC journey of our Cavan based graduates, ensuring they have the knowledge and experience required to succeed.

Darren Flanagan, Director
Darren has comprehensive experience in the areas of commercial and retail refurbishment & fit-out, commercial offices, retail banking and project monitoring on behalf of various financial institutions. Darren also has a passionate interest in KSN’s Chartership Programme and champions both the direction and success of graduates as they journey through their APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) with us.
