CSR at KSN
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is very much embedded in the culture of life at KSN. CSR underpins our business philosophy and our approach to promoting our core values. In recent years, KSN has committed to developing a structured approach to ensure that our CSR activity has a strategic impact on beneficiaries.
A dedicated KSN CSR committee was established to oversee our CSR initiatives and ensure two-way collaboration among groups such as staff charities, sports and social, and health and well-being. Our goal is to try to improve the communities in which we live and work, as well as to make our employees proud of the company for which they work. We want KSN to be known as a company that practices social responsibility.
In practice, this means promoting our employees’ health, well-being, and development through events and programs, providing volunteer opportunities, and selecting charities that benefit our communities. The amount raised for charity by employees is matched by the company and has steadily increased year after year.
Sports Teams
We both participate in and sponsor a number of sporting events over the course of the year.
Charities
KSN staff and management generously contribute to nominated charities each year as part of our CSR initatives.
Fundraising Days
We hold a variety of fundraising days – such as Spin Bike Competitions, Tug-o-War championships ,Techies 4 Temple Street & more!
Wellbeing
KSN supports the health and well-being of all staff members with several bespoke initiatives.
Our employees have access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). This well-being programme assists employees with any concerns that may be impacting their work, health, mental, and emotional well-being.
Our well-being committee strives to ensure our initiatives are fun, inclusive, and varied and we commit to supporting charitable organisations as an important focus.
Activities include:
Fundraising Days
We both sponsor and take part in a variety of fundraising days within the company. Activities include spin bike competitions, Tug-o-War championships, bake-offs, jersey days and much much more! We also take part in external fundraising, most recently being Clash of the Companies for the Children’s Health Foundation (formerly Techies 4 Temple Street.)
Fun & Creativity
We enjoy a sense of occasion in KSN – staff enjoyment and creativity is encouraged in support of a happy workplace (bowling, treasure hunts, quizzes, staff parties to name a few!)
Health & Well-being
To support the health and well-being of our staff we actively participate in workplace well-being days. To mark these days we celebrate fresh-fruit Monday’s and have participated in the ‘Pep-Talk all Ireland games’.
